We had a lovely time at the Couvent! We thought it was beautifully renovated and our appartment was really spacious and very tastefully furnished. Our friends were equally delighted. We all thought everything was great - the spa, massages, breakfasts, the cave. Loved the vaulted ceilings and stone steps. Antoine was really welcoming and absolutely charming - he couldn't have been nicer. Nothing was any problem. He made a real difference. Do pass on our comments. We really enjoyed our stay at Le Couvent the room we had was plenty big for the 3 of us and having facilities to cook and store your own food is ideal for a family. Le Couvent has such a peaceful and relaxing feel about it with great views and has all the modern conveniences. To be honest I find it really difficult to find anything negative to say about the place the only thing I would be a little concerned about is that in the summer when its really busy parking near the Couvent may be an issue but the place itself is top class and Antoine is a top host. I just wanted to tell you that Le Couvent is simply sublime. It is an oasis of peace, with beautiful and well-appointed rooms. What really makes it special, however, is the wonderful Antoine. The level of service is exceptional - charming, helpful, considerate and not at all intrusive. My wife wanted to bring him home with us! The food provided by the local traiteurs is excellent - much better than any of the restaurants in a 20 mile radius. Also, Muriel is an exceptionally gifted masseuse. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I suspect you will find that your prices are too low and that you will need to increase them in order to maintain the quality of clientele who will appreciate Le Couvent. We shall return on a regular basis. Alan

Hello Sandra Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that we had a fantastic stay at Le Couvent. The hotel is gorgeous and our room was so lovely. The weather meant we could sit out on the terrace looking at the view. We relaxed straight away and I was really sad to leave! The staff, particularly Antoine (hope I spelt that correctly) were great. They were really helpful and knowledgeable about where to go. We'll definitely be back. We had a great weekend thank you. We loved the convent and the suite had that 'wow' factor! We felt truly like we were at a house party and I'd just love to go in the warmer weather some time in the future. The food was great (maybe not as great choice-wise on the Sunday but that's a teeny groan) and Antoine, Edith and everyone just marvellous. Within minutes of arriving we had a plate of charcuterie, cheese, bread with wine in front of us. The quality of everything was superb and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It wasn't over-busy but the possibility of meeting different people in the kitchen for dinner and breakfast was a good one. If only....................... there was somewhere else of the same standard to walk to for food / drink on a Sunday night. We will tell only select friends about it because we don't want it to get so swamped! And please don't let it get over-run by the Times people!!!!!

I have being meaning to write and thank you for a wonderful stay in Le Couvent. The hotel blew both myself and Orla away; combined with the absolutely wonderful staff it made for a brilliant weekend. It was great to see the Garrigae concept in action, from the chic yet sympathetic furnishings in the room to the common areas which met every need. It was wonderful to be sitting in front of the massive fire, drinking a bottle of the Chateau de Raissac’s finest red! Please pass on my thanks to Sandra also for all her help, along with Jean who showed us around the Cave, if you could bottle him and sell him…! Thanks again, Shane
