An easy stroll from the Convent, the 9-hole golf course in Lamalou-les-Bains (near Béziers & Pézenas) is one of the most beautiful in France. It is not a long course, but bathed in year round sunshine the tree-lined fairways and water hazards will test experts and beginners alike.

Part of the course follows the Orb River, so anything hit with a hook risks ending up in the Mediterranean! The '10th-hole' restaurant and bar has great views of the course and surrounding hills, as well as offering cold drinks and excellent lunches and dinners.

The course at Lamalou-les-Bains is host to an annual 'Winemakers Challenge'.
At every green is a different wine-maker inviting players to taste his wines.
While there are prizes for the best scores, unsurprisingly many golfer
feel that just taking part is what counts!

Golf in Languedoc Roussillion: Between Béziers and Pézenas, the Saint-Thomas course has 18 challenging holes and is only a 20 minutes drive from the Convent. The stunning 27 hole Ronald Frean designed course overlooking the Mediterranean at Cap D'Agde is an easy 40 minute drive, while the course at Carcassonne - again with fantastic scenery - is an hours drive.
